Mary Anning was a famous fossil collector who was born in 1799. (You may have heard of her before.)
She was the first one to find the ichthyosaurus fossil when she was 12 years old. She later found plesiosaurs and pterosaurs.
We saw some at the Sedgwick museum.
I read all about her in a book called 'Stone Girl, Bone Girl'.
